Week 1

Jason introduced us to the brief, and the client which was Te Papa. After which he introduced us to an existing GLAM (galleries, libraries, art and museum) apps. He also introduced the three key user groups for this assignment which were : Families, Tourists and Oldies. I got tourists during the hat draw.

We played around a bit with a few apps and here were my notes on what I thought of some off them

ARTLENS

• nightmare to navigate through
• you don't know how to go back or undo
• 2 hour download

THE MET

• doesn't work without internet
• would only be useful if the user were in a live situation

MOMA

• looks like a website but it has a nice touch-move around function
• acts like a gallery
• very visual

RIJKS MUSEUM

• game-like
• good/interactive for family
